2019 is definitely shaping up to be the year of the Switch for RPG lovers. In Part 1 of this series, we talked about 5 of 20 RPGs coming to Nintendo Switch. Here are 5 more RPGs coming to Switch in 2019 and 2020. Are you excited? I am, so let’s get to it!
6. Nelke & The Legendary Alchemists: Ateliers of The New World – March 26th
Nelke, a very inquisitive young noblewoman, was appointed as governor of the borderland village of Westbald. She struggles with her duties and developing the village at first, but legendary alchemists from past titles in the “Atelier” series offer her their aid. In order to develop Westbald, she must open a small shop and use the funds she earns from her shop to prepare new buildings and facilities to attract people to gather at her charming village.
7. Re: Legend – 2019
Washed ashore on Vokka Island with no memories, you start a new life and find ways to recover your lost memories. However, you must first learn to live on the island by farming, befriending and helping villagers, expanding the village, and raising magical creatures known as Magnus. Explore the world of Ethia, alone or with friends, in this co-op simulation RPG!
8. Vampyr – TBA
Vampyr is the latest choice-driven adventure from Focus Home Interactive, the team behind Life is Strange. It’s London, 1918, and you are newly turned Vampyr Dr. Johnathan Reid. As a doctor, you must find a cure to save the city’s flu-ravaged citizens but as a Vampyr, you are cursed to feed on those you vowed to heal. Will you do good or evil?
9. Pillars of Eternity II Deadfire – TBA
Pillars of Eternity II Deadfire is the sequel to the multi award-winning game, Pillars of Eternity, developed by Obsidian Entertainment. Choose your companions and captain your ship as you voyage across the vast unexplored archipelago region of the Deadfire. Your journey will be dangerous but the possibilities are infinite. Do you have what it takes to bend the world to your will?
10. Shin Megami Tensei V – TBA
Not much is known about this yet, but it will be a Nintendo Switch exclusive. It is Atlus’ first game developed in Unreal Engine 4 and will feature gameplay elements from previous games in the Shin Megami Tensei series, including the ability to fuse demons.
